Ideally located, not far from the town centre and only 1.5 miles from the railway station, this medium-sized, family-managed private hotel is well situated in the south side of Cambridge.
The Sorrento Hotel caters well for the business traveller, with its easy access to the M11 and the ring road, ideal business facilities for up to 50 delegates and ample free car parking, protected by 24-hour CCTV cameras. It is also an excellent tourist stopover, yet has the friendly and informal atmosphere of a holiday hotel.
Well maintained with high standard of cleanliness, the hotel has an à la carte Italian restaurant (closed on Sundays) and snacks available 24 hours a day. The restaurant also has a full wedding service for up to 150 guests and the hotel has a bridal room with a double jacuzzi and sauna. Some rooms have disabled access.

These rooms are our bridal rooms each comprising of a sauna and a king size four poster bed.
Our full à la carte restaurant menu is available from 18:30 until 21:30. In addition, from 21:30 to 07:00 room service light snacks are also available.
Our authentic Italian restaurant prides itself using only quality products fresh from Italy and a wide range of organic herbs and vegetables from our allotment, as organic produce is extremely important and essential in some dishes.
Some of our dishes are legendary within the local community, for example our Grigliata di pesce misto – an assortment of fresh exotic sea foods handpicked by our chefs, or Filetto dello chef – fillet steak.
Our restaurant is fully air conditioned with the latest Dakin air conditioning system. The marble floor, earthy colours and arches give the restaurant a Mediterranean feel.
By Car (from the M11):
- Exit the M11 at junction 11 and follow town centre signs through Trumpington village.
- At the set of traffic lights signposted Addenbrookes Hospital, turn right onto Long Road.
- At the next main junction, turn left onto Hills Road.
- Just before the Hills Road railway bridge, turn right into Cherry Hinton road.
- We are on the right hand side just before the Rock public house on the corner of Blinco Grove and Cherry Hinton Road.
- There are 3 palm trees in front of the hotel, with the car park situated at the rear.
